Periods of dry and drought can be devastating in Australia, especially for those working on and with the land.

These images are a mere scratching of the surface of that experience, it is what you’ll see if you take a turn off the freeway, to those smaller communities.

This particular season, there was a yellow-white blanket of thurst covering Victoria, impossible to ignore if you moved beyond the city boundaries.

And yet even in that parched landscape, there is so much beauty and life.

Here’s my perspective.
