In 1998 I returned to Melbourne from Alice Springs, Northern Territory, where I worked for 18 months as a photographer.
Most of the work I did was in the tourism industry. The personal work I produced was my favourite, the earth is so rich with spirit in Central Australia.
It draws you to it and dares you to try to capture it’s astonishing allure.
It is a harsh country in some ways, but it is incredibly vibrant and striking also.
My heart is completely won each time I go – and torn each time I leave.
‘Embraces’, is a series that describes the landscape’s affect on me.
It wraps itself around me and reminds me that I am part of every living detail that I see and admire. My being is a part of all this beauty. We are one.
