As a welcome to my new home, my mother gifted me with a bag of dried leaves (among other things!) and that became this series.

It was a fitting gift to this new home, which is surrounded by trees and feels like a treasure.

One of my greatest loves is photographing nature with my macro lens, so it felt like Christmas, just as it does when I look out to the beauty of the landscape I live amongst here in Fryerstown.

At the moment, there are a lot of very noisy birds, so not the blissfully quiet country scene you might be assuming, but I love it!
